３クラブ合同ＷＣＳ対象校視察
今年度のＷＣＳプロジェクトは、識字率向上をテーマにし、タイ(バンコク近郊)で、ルンピニＲＣとバングランＲＣとの共同で、実施されることになった。米田会長他１０名で、現地視察に訪れ、奉仕活動先の学校を見学した。 学校は、創立８０周年で、校長が中国人(呉さん)。タイ語、中国語、英語を教える学校でめずらしい。 タイでは、タイ語以外の言語を教える学校には、タイ政府から援助が出ないという状況のようである。 学校への寄付は、中国から、一部行われている模様。学生数は、945名、45名／クラス。 ふつうの年間授業料は、2400バーツ／年。田舎からの180名の住み込み学生は、宿舎を含めて40,000バーツ／年。 中国からの寄付は、学校の先生を送り出すことで、10名程の先生を送り出している。しかし、学校では、先生の給料として、8,000〜10,000バーツ／月支払われている。今回は教材の乏しいこの学校の図書室に学習に必要な辞書、歴史本、百科事典などを中心とした書籍を充実させ、学生の勉学意欲を高めて、将来のタイを担う人材育成に寄与するものとして、国際奉仕委員会では、総額100万円の予算を捻出して、クラブの１０周年に花を添えたいと思います。

Moreover, we wish to express our gratitude for will being to do WCS(world community service) together. Our club wishes more and more friendship of your club to deepen. To the commemorative ceremony everyone of your club must come by a lot of memberls. We would like to invite them to the ceremony celebration launch party of the welcome.. Moreover, in Osaka you will go sightseeing and take care of golf etc. while staying. Execution chairman the tenth anniversary, Okada has gone with the greeting for that today.
